Welcome to the Juggler
----------------------
Juggler is a new World Wide Web browser for the Amiga, here is some of
the latest information on it.
Why Juggler ?
Anyone owning an Amiga for more than 5 years like me is familiar with the
famous Juggler animations, first in impressive disk demos and later in
Eric Schwartz animations. Now that the Amiga has strong chances to
succeed again, like in the old days, Juggler seemed to me like a great
name to baptize this Web Browser.
What's so special about Juggler ?
Sorry to disapoint you if Juggler is not what you expect from a new Amiga
Web Browser. Juggler will stick my ideals and other ideas I find
interesting to implement, either coming from me, betatesters or just
curious people. Don't expect Juggler to become a huge monster competing
with AMosaic, Tesseract, whatever... Juggler will grow slowly or faster
depending on my available time and the people that colaborate with me.
The main advantage you can take from Juggler (and me too, as this way I
don't feel resposable for anything) is that it will be completly free.
As someone said in IRC, Shareware with the Amiga is not worth the assle,
period! I agree!
What are the main features of Juggler ?
Will not use MUI. Some might thing this is not a feature. At the moment
I think it is. Maybe I change my mind when MUI 3.0 is out. Please don't
send me any hate mail. I'm tired of this subject! Uses gtlayout.library
from Olaf Bartel, the author of TERM. The most complete free terminal
emulation program for the Amiga and probably any platform.
Will support HTML3.
Tries to make advantage of AmigaOS calls instead oflying in WWWlib V3
code, which BTW, is being avoided as much as possible.
